After enjoying your hearty Cumbrian breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel to start the course on photography. Each day, the Tour Director will take you in comfort to the best places in Cumbria, to include Piel Island, the only island to host its own King, Ulverston, birthplace of Stan Laurel, Keswick, Derwentwater, Coniston (made famous by Bluebird’s waterspeed record’s and tragedy). Beatrix Potter’s home, Hilltop Farm (Miss Potter film is a must to watch, after you’ve booked this course). Castlerigg Stone Circles, Aira force and much, much more.
If you wait for the weather, you will wait forever.
This is where the experience of our tour Director comes in, to evaluate the optimum weather conditions for each day and maximise the best itinerary for photographic opportunities. The weather in Cumbria (due to its hilly countryside) can change quickly, making for some dramatic scenery. However, 30 years experience of the area will determine Plan “B” and “C” to ensure you have the best of the Lake District on the day.
To ensure the best personal attention at all times, this bespoke tour is limited to 12.
